Our WHy

After Church Nap was built from serving at church, getting some brunch after, and then having the meanest itis! There’s nothing like a good sleep after church, IYKYK, but the brand quickly grew in to something more meaningful. Napping isn’t laziness, it’s obedience! We are called to rest. We have always heard, “you can’t pour from an empty cup,” but this is a principle that God has as instructed us to live by.

And on the seventh day, God Rested – Genesis 2:2.
God promised that there will rest for the weary – Exodus 33:14
God told us to remember the Sabbath – Exodus 20:8
In the gospel, God invites us to rest – Mark 6:31
He calms our souls – Psalms 37:7; 1 Peter 5:7

We are called to remember and model rest. An “after church nap” is a literally a quiet act of trust where we find rest and refugee in God alone. In a world where it’s grind, grind, grind, the Bible reminds us that Jesus will restore our souls. We are told to take care of our bodies, as they are His Temple, and sleep is a gift that God has granted us. This simply act of resting reminds us that true peace isn’t earned, it’s received.

So, wear the reminder. Take the nap.
